Genesis

The Federations of Self-Help Groups (F-SHGs) in the Ramanathapuram, Pudukkottai and Tuticorin districts have been actively engaged in socio-economic development of poor and vulnerable communities grounded on the ideals of Gandhian trusteeship concept for over two decades. As their development activities have grown in size, all the Federations of Self-Help Groups (F-SHG) have come together and promoted a Collective Institution – Sarvodaya Foundation, which is owned and managed by its the member federations to facilitate development services, exchange learnings, expertise and extend mutual support.
